This page will be under construction for the forseeable future... as my life is an ongoing work in progress!
I have been a professional classical musician (flute and piccolo) for 24 years, but it has been obvious to me that I required some major changes in my life. While I have been successful in this profession, it simply doesn't challenge me as it has in the past. Too many of my abilities and interests are not utilized by playing in a symphony orchestra. Not only that, but the ongoing financial mudslide that my orchestra is continually in has finally motivated me to make some much needed changes. I find myself at MidLife, desiring a more holistic and relevant life.
To that end, I will be attending the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin beginning in mid-July. I plan to study Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Zen Shiatsu and Medical Qigong there. Their Masters of Oriental Medicine program takes four years to complete, so I will be 50 years old by the time I accomplish that. At that time I will be qualified to practice as a licensed Acupuncturist/Oriental Herbologist/Zen Shiatsu and Medical Qigong Therapist.
Here you will find information and links on:
